I was checking my cats bed today and found this burrowed in the bottom. It was very hard to remove and that's why it looks smushed up so bad. I can't tell if it's a flea or bed bug.

From the position of the legs, I suspect it's a flea. Wait for an expert to confirm.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

Thanks for replying. Ive had BB before and fleas and if this was a bedbug it would be a tiny baby one. But I've still been worried. Every little bug freaks me out now. It's been this way for almost a year of paranoia since having them.

    Hi,

    Yes, legs indicate flea.

    Hope that helps.

This is a laterally flattened insect while bed bugs are dorsoventrally flattened. It's a flea.
