Blood spots on sheets?(6 posts)
How big can the blood spots on sheets be? I found one on my sheet (in the last 6 days) that's an inch by an inch. Isn't that too big for a BB, especially since we've had no bites for the last 6 days? Do they spot blood when they don't bite?
Is this more likely to be a nose bleed or something else?
The reason for the blood on the sheets is that when they feed and you roll over or something, you squish them causing the blood to squirt everywhere. I used the get spatters of blood near my pillow and they were not small, but then again, I guess it would depend on how big or small the bug is. Blood on your sheets could be anything though, from a cut or something.
Probably a squashed bug whom you paid back for biting you by rolling on him and then splat! My husband got revenge on one in a similar fashion recently.
If that was the case, how come we have no bites and no squashed bug around? I wonder if he bit by kitty, who later killed him..
A part of me does hope it was a bug! No bites in a week and then a blood stain? We could have just picked up one bug from moving, and this would signify the end of the poor bastard.
They don't die when you roll over on top of them, they just spit the blood out and run back into hiding. I have tried to kill the ones I've caught by squishing them, but they don't die easily that way, becuase they are flat as paper already. I usually end up running to the bathroom to flush them down the toilet. Buggers!!
