black bedbugs? [a: probable beetle]

Moved into our hour 1 month ago and husband has been getting bites from something. This morning I found a bug in our bed that looks like bedbugs pix I have looked up only its solid black. Could this be a bed bug? I have pic but don't see any where to post it here. Please helping am going crazy at the thought of having bedbugs!

Hi,
You need to upload the picture to a hosting site like Flicker or photobucket and then post a link.
We can then have a look at it for you. There are a few occasions and situations that can make bedbugs appear to be very black in colour but I would rather see an image before you jump to conclusions.

Not a BB. Too blurry to be sure but looks like a small beetle.

That would make sense we do have a lot of beetles great to know its not a bedbug! Thanks so much for yalls time.

xacexoo, Looks like a spider beetle. Please make a new topic saying something like 'ID needed' rather than posting a new question in an existing thread where people may miss it.

Hard to tell from the angle, but I'm also guessing spider beetle (relatively harmless, not a bed bug). Here's a link to an article with pix of BB and spider beetles for comparison http://bedbugger.com/2012/04/17/spider-beetles-and-bed-bugs/
