Bites but no sign of bugs yet
(4 posts)-
I stayed in a hotel where I was exposed to bed bugs 30 days ago. I don't think I brought them home (I was careful and k9 inspection was clear). I have been 15 days clear of bites (I had delayed reactions). think , and yesterday I had two separate bites appear - one on my chest and one on my chin. They are not in groups or anything.
I am moving and my stuff is being Vikaned during treatment. I had a k9 inspection in my new place but 1 box of things and my packtite were shipped and arrived after the 2nd k9 inspection. One of the things shipped was my winter coat, which was dry cleaned but not packtited
and I am afraid that this is the one that was in the hotel (hung in the closet, not near the bed, but still nearby). Is there a chance these two separate bites are mosquitos? I was in southern cali yesterday and did spend sometime outside. I am just so depressed I could have bed bugs.

hello, anyone?

Dry cleaning, if it was "regular" dry cleaning (not organic or environment-friendly) kills bed bugs.
And I'm not a pro, but when pros read this, they'll tell you that bites are inconclusive. You should keep monitoring, perhaps get a passive monitor, and see how things go, but for the moment, there's no reason to freak out.

Help, please. I discovered three new bites - breakfast, lunch, dinner. Most of my things have been Vikaned and are still in storage and I'm debating postponing moving in since bites are still appearing.
When would I see any signs even of a small infestation? Should I have another k9 inspection and pursue treatment in my new apartment?
I am desperate, please help!
