Best tape for mattress encasement zipper ends?

   I have been looking all over hte forums and FAQ's and seen a variety of answers to this but can't quite get it clear in my head which is the best choice.

   We have the national allergy Elegance encasement on our mattress but nothing on our box spring. I am thinking of getting the box spring encasement from Protect-A-Bed but it seems like we might need to tape the NA zippers?

   Also we have NA Elegance pillow covers too- should I tape them?

   NA says they dont' need taping but some people here say they do.
   Should I tape just the end? or the whole thing?

   But I don't understand what kind of tape to buy?
   (Be very specific - like specifidc type of tape and even brand would be fabulous.)
