    Hi Everybody,

We are moving soon and will need mattress covers just in case the bbs
come too. Can anybody recommend which covers are the best, or worst?

I see some supposed bb custom covers like Residex, and 'bed bug
central's' 'Terry Top zip mattress encasement with _buglock_zipper_'.
Sounds like a gimmick, but perhaps it's legit...

I think I've read here any mattress cover that fully covers the
mattress and zips, and is made for allergies and mites will work for
bbs too, so please let me know what is the best covers to get.

We are litterly taking only 2-weeks of clean clothes, and docs that
have been in the freezer for 2-weeks. We hope to have a final spraying
before we leave here and a spraying of the new apt before we move in.
My major concern is moving so close to family that we visited in
March, before we knew we had bbs (we discovered in late April severe
infestation). We went for a week visit with suitcases and I really
can't conclude how we would not have brought them to their place. They
have a large house and are in denial about the possibility of having
them now. '...'we haven't seen any...'. Being my in-laws they will be
over a lot to our new place, so the horror will likely continue.

If our current building management was handling the problem correctly,
we could stay here until we found a better place (farther from my
in-laws), but they only spray apt's that complain and don't spray or
    notify adjacent apt's.

    TIA!
    Ron

Bugfood: encasements from National Allergy are good and you can get a discount from here if you go to faqs and then go to how to isolate the bed and then goto encasements. You can only get discount from this site, not from the telephone. I got the vinyl only ones and they seem pretty strong. There are also ones with fabric on the outside and vinyl on the inside. How come you don't just get new mattresses and then encase those? Good luck with your move!

    Hi nyjammin,

Thanks for the info. We are actually getting new beds when we move, so we will cover them then...We had to throw-out the ones we had, the boxsprings were too infested, (all 3 of us currently sleeping on infested couches), I tried to encase the old beds, but the only vinyl covers I could find were $12 Mickey Mouse covers for bedwetting, they all started tearing on the seams especially the boxspring cover, that was also too tight to zip-up.

I will also caulk what I can at the new place, as we still have to worry about my in-laws possibly being infested (previously by us), re-infesting us...
