I caught this running across my sheets last night, stuck it in a ziploc bag, and froze it. Pictures aren't the greatest (my camera will not cooperate), but maybe someone can ID it? I've woken up a few times recently with what may be insect bites, so I'm kinda worried this might actually be a bedbug. We had a bedbug scare roughly a year ago in my building, but the pest inspector from back then found nothing in any of the apartments. I'm leery of talking to management unless I'm relatively certain.

Studying the photos of bed bugs here is also worthwhile in case you have another mystery bug.

As David suspected, it is 100% cockroach nymph.

    Here's how you'd know:

    > Presence of cerci at tip of abdomen.

    > Long thread like antennae.

Congrats on your NON- bed bug.

Hope this helps ! paul b.

Thanks, all! Cockroaches are nasty, but not anywhere near as bad as bedbugs. What I thought were bites may be a simple reaction to stress or allergens.
