Found this bug on my shirt today. Thing is, its the fourth identical one that I have found in my house over the last few days. The first one was crawling on my daughter's hair while she was in bed. I found another one on her blanket. The next day there was another one crawling on my sons shirt. This one here was the only one that I managed to photograph.

What you found is a Female dog tick. I would suggest calling a PCO company asap (one with an entomologist on staff) and have them guild you in the right direction. I would also recommend contacting your MD and find out what suggestions he/she has.

    Dasmo801,

    KQ is right.
FYI Dog ticks do not carry Lyme disease, but they are the main carrier of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
Here's a link with information to help you guys out.

    Thanks for the help.

Anyone know if I would be correct in assuming that we are coming in contact with the ticks outside and carrying them in to the house as opposed to the ticks infesting the house?
