We've heard it said that "you are what you eat", right?

    Bedbugs eat us, right?

Ergo, they are us. We are they. We are in their DNA. (With me so far on this?) Could it be that they are mad at me for not donating more blood this year? What if I offer up a small child?

Can't there be a peace between us?

I like your way of thinking, MiBo.

Did you ever read this Onion article about Dow's new product, Sympathex?

We are on to something here...

i was reading something today that the Romans ate bbs? Where did i read that? I also read in the same article that the Ancient Egyptians ate them. Eeeeewww...but people eat all sorts of insects...i wouldn't like to eat an animal that drinks human blood. Icky!

He he! Darn, Seabug! NO PEACE?

But, hey -- apparently, all we have to do is ASK them to stop dipping their beaks in us! (Okay, so maybe no peace, but perhaps a truce?) Check this out:

    http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:uP8gKePYMrIJ:artshumanities.netsci2010.net/paper/Dumitriu_Whitby.pdf+bacteria+have+communication+internet&hl=en&gl=us&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEESgNwRLP0zFrRgzu4yAtzAn9Ijv3lFIgO3Q76VZdSY7KnBr0aTbv7vN3nOgEieCOQiGy8O3sro9Gk62XvL1I2YIgj-_-eFrT6wyafbdJhGXRJTz2qLEOiPGLLhOd63ZrvYan3HJz&sig=AHIEtbS8fnvF8KEc_CArT-eJfbyC-a7rUg

In a nutshell (and from what I understood), anything that is made of up cells can communicate with anything else that is made up of cells (bugs can "communicate" with plants, e.g.). There is a statement in there that says that it may be just a simple matter of "asking" the bugs to change their behavior. But then, what if they say "no?"

Then bring on the Sympathex and FORCE them to be nice!!!

Or start roasting them like popcorn. I'm sure they would make a tasty salad topping...
