Bedbug casing? Shiny, o(3 posts)
I recently moved with a bunch of clothing that had been lying on the floor near the bed for many nights (yes, I wasn't so organized in my move haha).
I saw recently what was almost certainly a bug casing stuck to a shirt on the floor of my new place. I'd laundered the shirt in between but I'm wondering if an adult bb might have got in the laundry basket.
Unfortunately I accidentally crushed the casing before photographing it.
It was about the size of a fully cooked grain of rice but somewhat larger, had horizontal lines on the abdomen and some legs visible. My main question is really whether a bedbug casing would be shiny (almost silvery on the bottom) and whether it would make sense for it to be on an item of clothing that had not been on the bed in several days. I did not have bbs in the old apartement, but was having a visitor over who had had bedbugs in his place.
Sorry, but I'm just really paranoid, especially since this casing rather resembled what I've seen online.
I also forgot to say, that this casing was definitely longer than it was wide and that it was very difficult to tell whether there was a head attached at all, though the top part was unlined.
If you could still take photo of it. It could probably help for the experts to verify to some degree if it is a bed bug casing or not.
