The Bedbug Beacon arrived today, and I've set it up. Are bedbugs supposed to get trapped inside the pitfall well? Also, what are the ingredients in the two packets? Are they nontoxic? I used a plastic kitchen funnel rather than the paper funnel provided with the BB Beacon because it seemed to work a bit better. I assume I can just wash the plastic funnel with hot water and soap and then return it to the kitchen drawer for future kitchen uses?

yes, they will fall into the well where you placed the oil, and yes you can reuse the funnel.

There's little toxicity info on the two powders Bedbug Beacon MSDS sheet on powder packets A,B although they claim it's "non-toxic".
It's probably a weak acid and base (baking soda and ?), so wash it and your funnel is okay.

There are YouTube videos showing the Bedbug Beacon in action.
