Bed Bugs???? Need Help!!

I started getting bites about 3 weeks ago all over my right shoulder they where huge welts that itched really bad. They didn't really look like the bed bug bites that I have seen on the internet but they did appear in 3's so that had me freaked out. I had many of my peers that saw the bites and said they looked to be hives because of how flat and big they were. So I assumed they were right even a doctor I went to said they didn't look like any sort of bug bites. I did just to be on the safe side cleaned out my entire room and sprayed it with PRONTO BED BUG spray. After that I didn't have any issues with bites, but then a week or two later I began getting even bigger welts on my lower back and just yesterday I had more on my leg that are so irritating I'm literally going crazy. I'm so disgusted at the fact I may have them and not sure how they appeared all of a sudden. I have literally turned my Condo upside down inspected every thing you name I have looked and CANNOT find a single evidence of a bed bug.. Everyone that lives here are certain that there isn't any because either they have not been bitten or have not spotted any. So please someone help me!!!
Also I am the only one that is getting bit with a lot at a time my kids have gotten bites but one or two here and there nothing as bad as mine.
And I did call an exterminator today for an inspection but he didn't seem very experienced with bed bugs. Again any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.
