    Hi all,
In trying to dertimine if we still have bbs on inspecting my mattress which is encased in a bb proof encasement I found two very very small black round specs on two different nights, first finding was on Sunday night and the second find wasthis morning.
I took a q-tip with peroxide and rubbed the spot which turned brown which if I understand Lou correctly may be some kind of bug poop.
Recently I did see a bite on my dogs belly and found a very small black bug which I believe to be a flea.
My wife woke up with a couple of small random bites under her arm on Monday morning and I received what I believe a bite last night while I was on the couch. I spent from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am steaming and vaccuuming the couch inside and out, the rug etc... in living room.

My question is does any warrior have experience in dealing with fleas? Do you know if flee poop resembles bed bug poop and if so will flea poop turn from black to brown when peroxide is applied?

This is all so crazy. I am getting angry!

Sorry, Dan, check message #3008 on the yahoo group, from an entomologist on the difference between bedbug and flea specks. (Although I must say my bedbug specks were like pepper, not necessarily very adherent where I found them. But it's a perspective and it should confirm that it is bug feces. If you identify the bug you found as a flea, then that would be a relief.)

Based on that, it does sound like an infestation of some kind, but hopefully it's yet small and it's only fleas. (I realize fleas are probably no picnic, but they're not bedbugs.)

I'm unsure about linking to to the yahoo group messages. Anyway, it's a message from Jody Gangloff-Kaufmann. Click any message on the yahoo group so that you get a specific search box at the top where you can type the message number. (It won't work if you're on the home page.)

Well, Dan, not everyone has entomologists on their speed dial, so I hope others will simply try to identify their infestations through the normal channels and get treatment.
