I had these bed bug detections for about two months now and nothing happened. Until tonight I was checking. I think I saw one. I don't know what to do now. I won't be able to sleep thinking about it. The worst part is my baby. I don't want anything to bite her. Someone please reassure me things will get better. Please.

Most people here who are sure they have found a bed bug seem to be wrong. Maybe you will be too. Post a photo here? Upload it to a photo hosting site like imgur.com and post the link here for an expert to look at.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

    Hi,

The samples are not bed bug.

I would hang fire till Lou gives some input on this one.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello David,

Thank you for your feedback! Do you mind explaining how you can tell that it's not a bedbug?? Thank you again!

Hello David! I looked at the link below and couldn't find matching evidence of why it would be a bed bug. I'm so paranoid about having them since my boyfriend had them and I would spend some time at his house and he would come to mine. I once found a small colorless bug crawling somewhere on my spring box but killed it before it could crawl away from my sight so I didn't have time to examine it but when I did squish it, blood came out so I've been so paranoid since. However, I have not seen any evidence of bed bugs, but I still can't get that bug out of my head. And the other night when I was examining the detectors I saw that bug and freaked! It looks similar to a bed bug nymph when I look at it closely so that's why I'm questioning everything.

Not insects, but arachnids. The image quality doesn't let me see too much. Part of problem is that it is very small and hard to get a good picture. Possibly could be mite. Do you know if there is a mouse or rat issue? Birds nesting near a window or on A/C unit in window? It could be a free-living mite and not parasitic. Just trying to find out more.

Hello Lou! I live in apartments and a few months ago my boyfriend saw a rat in the living room. Then my sister in the middle of the night saw one in the kitchen. We told the office and they didn't do anything but offer a bait sticky trap (I think that's what it is) and the rat was caught and since then we didn't see any so we think that was just it and that there was just one. They did tell us that there was a rat problem in the section of the apartments I live in. Although, my apartment is two stories so I don't understand how it will be found up here in my room?
