Bed Bug Bites?
(7 posts)-
My apartment buildings manager and PCO say that my bites are not from bed bugs, yet they look like lots of other peoples bite photos. I am going to try to imbed my new Flickr account so you can see them:

Also, I collected lots of little (1-3mm)transparent, shiny, yellowish ovals with head bulges that look like they could be Nymphs or casts. Again, my PCO said they were nothing. I told him they looked just like the photo that shows the difference between bed bug casts and book lice to which he said, "You can't believe everything you see on the internet".
My problem is that although I've been going crazy with bites at night for over a month, my building refuses to believe me until I bring them an adult bed bug.
My Dr. has ruled out bites by all other insects.
The way it happens to me is : I don't feel or see the bite happenning. Then I break out in white and pink bumps/welts gradually getting worse for about half an hour. They hurt like sour bee-stings or shingles, but don't itch too badly. Within four hours, welts are gone and there is just slight reddishness that only itches if it gets rubbed against something. Sometimes, I don't get much white swelling. Usually, there is a 1-2mm red slash in the center.
All of my nieghbors have had bed bug infestations. I have no food or clothing allergies and am always bitten on exposed or easily accessed skin.
I showed my PCO blood splatters and smudges on ceiling leading to recessed light cans and sprinklers--he said it was fly droppings. Do banana flies have reddish-brown droppings?I hope that the below will take you to my Flickr photos:

Here is a collection of other peoples bites that look like mine with mine right after them.
Positive ID anyone?

I cant see the pics you have uploaded. I will say that the longer you wait for someone to affirm your bites the longer it will take for you to be bug free…my suggestion take matters into your own hands and start doing some inspections and research about other tell-tell signs

This should allow you to see photos:

I would love any opinions on my bites as I can't convince my landlord that I have a problem. -
Sorry, no one can ID skin reactions as bed bug bites.
However, if you can post a macro photo showing suspected fecal stains, Cast skins, or eggs, these can often be identified by experts here. So I hope you will. Is worth borrowing a camera.
If all your neighbors have confirmed cases of bed bugs then you're right to be concerned. A passive bed bug monitor may help confirm the presence of bed bugs also.

Just to add, though, this photo you posted looks like it could be from some other skin issue:

Have you found bed bugs or other definite signs?
