Bed bug advertising, 1939-style

The picture looks like a beetle rather than a bed bug to me.

Has anyone seen the Bed bug ads in the NYC subway? I saw it on the E train.
It's a full-sized horizontal ad that says in huge letters "Bed bugs are back" and on the other side "Protect yourself" with the url for protect-a-bed, and some photos of hugely magnified adult bedbugs. My problem with the ad is that it should really say "protect your mattress" as a bedbug cover does not protect you from having bedbugs in your home.
But no matter what it's advertising, it's a good wake-up call for people who don't know that "bed bugs are back."

In contrast with modern times where you will only find me listed as a basic listing in the London book.
They keep pressurising me to go national but when they find a way of reducing the training down below 2 months I will consider it. I don't think my clients want a bus load of trainees to come around with me.
I suppose the modern spines of the page are the Ads by Google boxes that fill in the gaps. I appear in them from time to time but please don't click on me there because it costs money. Click on the occasional snake oil ones though because it generates funds to support the site.

My daughter saw the same ad on, I think, the J train...I agree, it could help to spread awareness
