BB egg and nymph survival time in sealed storage?
(1 post)-
Ok, adults can live 18 or even 24 months sealed up, depending on what you read. How about eggs and nymphs? I assume eggs will hatch in days normally- but what about at low temps or even freezing? Can eggs somehow become dormant for long-long waiting periods before hatching? As for nymphs, I assume there is also a possibility of some sort of hibernation, but ultimately they need blood food to molt and move on to the next phase. So for long term storage, the adults are the basic issue, right?
