On Monday, I set up BB Beacon in my childrens' room, as they are gone for the summer. I did not go there the whole time and I just checked it now. There is nothing in the pitfall well, but when I looked at the liquid in the bottle, there was a yelowish residue on the walls and it seems that the contents of the packets were not completely dissolved, there is a layer of it at the bottom of the bottle. I followed the instructions to the letter , twirling the bottle for at least 30 seconds
Is this normal? Can I rest in peace that this room is ok (the monitor was on the floor by the head end of the lower bed of the bunk beds set)? Or did I somehow misuse it?
Thanks si much. Have a great weekend

    Dear beruska,

It seems as if additional agitation of the beacon mix is needed or you will need to prepare a re-mix.

In the short term, you might try posuing the contents into a suitably sized container such that you can stir it to fully mix the contents and then re-pour the mix into your beacon.

However, you may also be at the end of the effective life of the contents you've mixed and may need to prepare a fresh mix.

Remember that the beacon is working for you 24 - 7 during it's useful time period and it doesn't hurt to have it in place.

You may also wish to set up some monitors in your bed room as well.

Our Davids may have additional tips & comments for you as well.

Hope this helps ! paul b.

    Hi,

Don't worry the solution that "powers" the Beacon will not always dissolve fully and after a few hours part of it will start to sedement out so that at the end of the run you end up with a liquid on top and a sediment in the bottom of the bottle.

I will post some pics when I get into the office next.

Thank you, guys, for the response. I guess I can rest easy then about this room and move it to the living room mow, as per your suggestion, David.
BTW, do you mind looking at my "blood stains" post? KQ does not think it's related to bb, and I trust him but anyway.... I feel like this is the conspiracy of bb signs :)))), I am so tired of it .
I just refused a lodging to some cousin whom I did not see for 20 years, due to the dead bb I found days ago and beacause I just want to monitor a bit. It might cause a rift un the family.... all thanks to bbs :))-
I will bump the post up a bit.

    Thanks a million, as always....
