Attractive female wanted

Attractive female wanted for bed bug food! Ahh the world of marketing. Much like yelling bed bug but that would not work here.
Well now that I have your attention, a good news story. A young lady I know
recently vacationed in Puerto Rico for a few nights with some friends.
During which time her friend with whom she shared a bed received several bites (allegedly not from her) while she slept. She was bitten once on the wrist and twice by the ankle. When she returned to NY her father who is a bit of an entomophobe contacted me in a panic. First off it is possible that the bites were from a mosquito or other insect and not bed bugs at all. Second it’s possible that if it was indeed bed bugs they came out fed and returned to their happy harborage site and that’s that. Third if a male bed bug or nymph managed to stow away back to NY a few bites yes but still pretty much dead ended. Now if an evil adult female survived the trip back and avoided the dryer protocol I recommended there is potential for an issue. Keeping in mind that some bed bugs meet their demise through routine cleaning, sheet changing etc. Now if a reproductive pair or gravid female made it back and survived the homecoming all bets are off.
The good news is that it has now been over two and a half months with no evidence and no bites. The moral is, always practice safe travel, but don’t panic. -
Plenty of voyeurs but no comments I hope you all view this as empowering and a reminder.

Thanks Winston.
I needed that reminder actually - a friend of mine spent the weekend at a hotel in AC and, as she's staying with me for a bit of time, I naturally went into bed bug panic mode. I managed to calm myself down realizing that - while it's possible for her to bring them back - that it may also not occur at all; they have to be in her hotel room, they have to get into her luggage (which she had one washable bag), they have to survive the laundry when they make it into my home (which gets hot enough and steams everything), they have to circumvent the passives I have running if they do.
I am a 0% risk type of guy when it comes to things like this - so this is indeed is a helpful reminder to me.
