Like everyone, this fight has completely consumed our lives. PCO came out for the second treatment. We're not entirely sure that they did everything they said they would (e.g., spray floors, redo bedframe). More and more people I know are coming out of the woodwork saying they had a problem. Just heard from someone who had a recurrence after 3 months clean plus moving (am guessing the new building has a problem with that timeline). Everyone I know who has beat it in an apt setting has finally had to move.

    1. Are we just going to have to move or is possible to beat it without moving?

    2. Speaking of moving, when we got infested, we were in the midst of buying an apartment. Are we nuts? Should we just stop the process and find a nice single family home somewhere? (At this point, though, probably cheaper to continue the process than stop....)

Good question. I would not buy an apartment.

Yeah, wondering about it, but it would be QUITE expensive to back out now. It's a balancing test for me. If we can move without them, I still worry about someone in the new building bringing them in and reliving the nightmare. I'm just not sure how much money that's worth to me....

Oh and still not sure we can fix it without moving. It's much better now, but still...

Over It, I don't know where you live. Where I am (Colorado) a very good real estate broker or lawyer should be able to get you out of contract and recover your earnest money right up until pretty close to closing. Have you had the inspection? Is there no way you can claim something amiss as a result of the inspection and bail with your earnest money? That's usually the escape clause around here for change of mind.
