Are there always more than one?
(2 posts)-
I began getting a few bites at night in january and in february I found a dead bed bug in the crease of my bedskirt, although I didn't know it was a bed bug at the time. I continue to receive a few bites a week or less sometimes, depending. Today, I was reading an article on bed bugs and realized they looked very similar to the dead bug I found a few months back. So, of course, arriving home, I turned my bedroom upside down searching everywhere I could, trying to find any signs of bed bugs. I managed to find one bed bug, alive, in the crease at the corner of my mattress. Other than that, though, I can't find any more or any signs of any more. I have vacuumed and searched everywhere, under the mattress and boxspring, even removing the felt from the boxspring to see inside. I looked under my dressers and in the drawers and vacuumed all along the edges of the carpet and the walls, but I can't find any others. Is it possible there were only those two or are there for sure more of them somewhere? I don't get bites all the time, maybe only a few a week or less and my boyfriend doesn't get any. Should I call an expert or an exterminator or wait and see what happens?
Any advice would be appreciated. This is my first experience with bed bugs and hopefully my last. Thanks.

3caramel,
Need more info. Are you in an apartment, house, ect.? If an apartment, you could be getting just a few at a time, but you still need an exterminator. The adjoining apts. need inspected as well, since they could be coming from a neighbor who is self treating, ect. If you are in a house you've been exposed somehow, travel ,boyfriend, ect. and you still need an exterminator. Please read the FAQ's for all the info you need, you may think this is no big deal right now,but it will get worse if you ignore it.They are very successful breeders and masters at hiding,so act now to have the absolute best chance of ridding yourself easily of these very persistant pests. BTW,not everyone reacts to thier bites,so your bf is likely getting bit but doesn't have a reaction.Search for a bb experienced pco, their is info on this site to help you identify someone who knows how to treat bb's.Good luck
