Are multiple pesticides more or less effective than single ones?

Would a combination attack of more than one type of pesticide be more effective / synergistic than trying them in series, or can the use of multiple (but on their own, safe if used as directed) pesticides cancel out some of their effect or even create new hazards?

    Hi,

In many countries it is illegal to mix insecticides.

This is primarily because they are health and safety tested individually and thus we don't know the health implications of mixing them.

If you think about the accidents that occur through mixing household cleaning products you will see why mixing insecticides is not a good idea.

In short its not sensible for health and safety reasons rather than treatment efficiency reasons.

There's mixing of chemicals and using more then one product. Gentrol for example might be tank mixed with another material like Onslaught, Demand or Suspend. In addition Tri-Die or
Bedlam may be used as well as a dust for wall voids like DE, Drione or Tempo. Using different materials at the same location is OK but tank mixing must be per label and should not be the same type like residuals.
