I hate to question the experts on this, but my basic common sense logic tells me that the mattress encasements that I have bought use material that is so thin that a bedbug could probably bite through it without much trouble. Is this not true???

My boxspring encasement ripped when we were placing it down on the bed frame! Excuse me but if I want to waste $65 I'll buy beer.

Chester, I thought the same thing about BB ability to bite through the encasement. I placed a piece of encasement over the vial and pulled slightly (did not want to spill the open vial) I then screwed the top on and placed it on my arm, they did not penetrate it. I don't know what would happen if I stretched it to its maximum?
