If I read the article correctly -- does it mean that those who've purchased the insurance can only use Terminex?

Hmm...when this types of insurance becomes widespread, how will that affect the business of independent PCOs?

(I'm assuming that big insurance companies will mostly work with big pest managment firms -- but I don't even know if that is a correct assumption to make.)

Am also wondering how that will impact us regular consumers or even international travelers in a country without Terminex.

My reading was that this offering is for insuance including treatment by Terminex.

As I said in the blog post, I hope other firms will offer insurance that allows a choice of service provider. In response to your question, NoBb, I would guess the insurance will be offered only to those residing in a service area covered by the provider. I am assuming it would be designed to cover travelers who arrive home to find they brought bed bugs home too.

Now three more firms are offering insurance to hotels or hotels and residential property owners.

You can read more about it on this blog post on Bedbugger.

I wonder if people will get a discount if they use proactive measures because lets face it those who know about bedbugs and known how to avoid them are much lower risks than your average non super hero.

The same for hotels who take proactive steps.
