after cleaning and trashing infested furniture. i have only used DE and have not got a pest control agency come out. so im just wandering anyone with expierence have u just used DE through out entire house and it work? i have used an entire bag thru out my house and storage. i think i did an over kill which i didnt realize till after researching more about while i was coughing very badly. i have every baseboard coverd, up all the stairs, every baseboard, under every bed and couch, in the dressers, in the closets

We use DE and also Steri-Fab. It sounds like you may have used a bit too much on the DE. I get nervous having it down because we always have our ceiling fans on and I am afraid that it will fly around. We have used Steri-Fab, it is a contact killer but I kind of saturate the joints and bed slats with it. It has worked pretty well in the past, hopefully it will work again since we have them again after 8 months of being BB-free!

Studies have shown that some kinds of of DE work better than others, and some bed bugs are not apparently as susceptible to it, surprisingly enough. There's a link to this from our FAQ on DE, which also includes some information about DE.
