why do people love this stuff so much? is their fakey marketing really that much more believeable than any other? it's riddled with false implications & vague info. i've seen tons of posts about the stuff & a few that even question it's efficacy. no one has questioned it's "green-ness", which really disturbs me. someone could go into business selling "green" acetone for soaking your bed floor walls etc.--you'd make a killing AND it would actually kill bugs.

my 2 cents. i had to say it somewhere, and this seemed like an irrelevant & redundant post otherwise

I understand it's more or less the same as Kleen Free. It's a contact killer. Contact killers can be useful but are not going to solve anyone's bed bug problems on their own.

And yes, lots of cheaper substances including alcohol and Murphy's Oil Soap are contact killers, though all do not suit every application.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

    ps

I deleted the original poster's link selling the stuff. His/her one-time visit to ask this question suggests s/he did not _really_ want an answer.

From what I can tell, Kleen-Green is just a knock off version of Kleen-Free and based on some comments, is inferior to it.

Interestingly, I noticed on the Kleen-Free site (http://www.kleen-free.com) that they have a product that is specifically labelled for BedBugs now balled BedBug Terminator - again it is likely a contact spray so not the whole answer.

They gave me an ingedient list and it is different from Kleen-Free (but similar to it) so maybe they revised the old Kleen-Free formula and made it more effective.

I agree that an exterminator is the best route to go but having a contact killer spray for the ones that are not effected by the chemical that the exterminator uses might also help get the last one or two.

Feel free to remove the link I put in above if I am not supposed to link to sites.

    mostlycurious,

I am pretty sure that Kleen Free and Kleen Green are BOTH made by a company Natural Ginesis:
    http://naturalginesis.com/

And that Kleen Green is their newest formulation. They still sell Kleen Free as their "Classic enzymes." I have used Kleen Free and not Kleen Green, though people say the newer product has a different smell, I am not aware of differences in effectiveness in killing bed bugs.

I think the company you linked to is just a distributor.

    Nobugs,

I contacted the Canadian distributor of Kleen-Free (www.ecoginesis.com) to try to unravel the mystery. Enquiring minds wanted to know!

http://www.Ginesis.com (Ginesis Natural Products) is the manufacturer and distributor of Kleen-Free.

http://www.ecoginesis.com is the primary Canadian distributor and also maintains the http://www.kleen-free.com site for US customers by agreement with Ginesis Natural Products

http://www.natrualginesis.com is the distributor website which used to sell Kleen-Free but now tries to switch people to Kleen Green as it is their own knock-off product.

Just in case anyone else actually cared!

I stand corrected, MostlyCurious! Thanks for tracking down the information.

I was surprised to hear Natural Ginesis was the knock-off source, since they also sell Kleen Free:
    https://naturalginesis.com/cart/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=8

But yes, if you look at the bottle, as I now have, http://www.ginesis.com is listed there.
