wonder if roaches is all they're seeing. -
Not so amazing... 20 years ago German cockroach was a typical pest of restaurants, bar, refectories and food industries. About 15 years ago it started to infest also homes and actually in Italy represents a big domestic pest problem. Now It seems it has conquested a new environment...

This is nothing new and has come and gone throughout the years. Buses cut back on things like pest control then the pests return and they move into crisis mode, address the issue and then cut back and so on and so on.

Blunile,
Bed bugs are likely resistant to DDT. They started showing resistance in 1948, only a few years after being introduced.
If you want to have a petition for "something like DDT," that something needs to be invented first.
Now, if you want to petition for organophosphates or something, that might have more of a hope.
