Yes, Scottysmom -- DE can be useful. It is no miracle product, though. If it's the only thing you use, you can be stuck with bed bugs for a long time.

No probs, you have to be careful what you google around here. You are only a few clicks away from a very wide eyed person extolling the virtues of drinking the stuff which fades to a strangely hypnotic video. It was like the twilight zone and even I got scared, OK scared I might laugh so hard as to short out the AC in the office.
Get you tin hat at the ready because I am willing to float the idea that having seen the electron micrograph images of them they are actually alien life forms. Its why no-one will endorse its consumption of medical repute, its the new global conspiracy don't you know.

The answer has to be:
No more than the methane emanating from what you are saying and attempting to spread
