I've had my apartment treated twice so far. On the day of my third treatment (in which the PCO flaked on) I found more bugs live and well. I purchased new mattresses, put covers on them and yet they still persist. I also inspected my couch and found a few live ones. I'm at wits end... is this normal? I live in an apartment building and am afraid it might be a building issue, will never see relief then? And I don't want to move and bring the pests with me. Any advice on if they will ever go away?

    Thank you!

Has your landlord or management spoken with attached neighbors and/or had their units professionally inspected? It may be that others are sending you the bugs.

On the other hand, it is not unheard of for a single case to need more than three treatments. The number of treatments vary. A lot depends on what treatment is being used. Can you tell us more about that? Knowledge and skills of the PCO tech also play a role. But a neighbor with bed bugs can trump a good PCO.

Thank you for your response! I'm working on getting my landlord to check other units in the building, for their and also my well being. Slum landlords, though, it's tough.

I believe they are using chemicals. The work order says "NyGuard IGR" and "Demand LS". Also, application equipment is "PAS". This vernacular, I'm not familiar with, but know they utilize chemicals and possibly heat. The company is "www.pestnow.com" and proving to be a little unorganized and unprofessional considering flaking on treatment yesterday.

I read that it could take up to 20-30 days after treatment to really see everything die down, but I'm still worried that after two treatments I'm still seeing living bugs.

This is hell, I'm sorry for all who have gone through this!

How is it going now? Still seeing bugs? Few questions: Where did you see the live bugs? Was it during the day, or at night? Were they nymphs or adults?
