    Hello,

I have recently found several stains which look like blood to me on my bottom sheet and pillow case. On my pillow case the stain is almost a rusty brown in colour. Now just by chance my pillow case from about a week ago missed the wash so i went and found that and there is also a couple of red spots on that as well. I got my current bed about 3 months ago.( Old one was giving me back problems) Both mattress and base are fitted in a encasement which are bed bug proof. I have never had any issues with this in the past and I only noticed the stains on my sheets a few days ago. I have no signs of bites or itching just the stains on my sheets and pillows. Do you think they are caused by bed bugs? and if not what?

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Do you have any scabs or sores on your body? How about bloody nose problems? I can't tell if it's from bedbugs, but I want to make clear to others what the details are.
Also, where did buy your "current bed?"

Both mattress and base are fitted in a encasement which are bed bug proof.

This doesn't mean you can't get bed bugs, keep a population alive, etc., it just means that bed bugs if harboring in a box spring or in a mattress will not be getting out or feeding through the fabric. The zipper closure must stay closed or bed bug nymphs and adults can crawl out and in. Bed bugs won't be able to harbor in an encased mattress or box spring. You are reducing or removing harborage within a box spring, but bed bugs can still crawl on these items and still harbor between these items or in the bed frame or other places near or far from the bed. If you use a large encasement on a small mattress you now have provided harborage area in the form of rolls of extra fabric, too. There's debate on whether it's worth encasing in the first place, especially a mattress.

Blargg, in answer to your questions, no scabs or sores, only pimples - nothing out of the ordinary, I don't have bloody nose problems. Got bed brand new from a reputable company who only sell beds.
