Just found this bug in my dresser drawer today - wasn't thinking and i crushed it, but then started thinking, crap, what if this is a bed bug?

So... I think it is (although I'm hoping that somehow it's not). It's the first time we've ever seen anything like this, and no bites on me or my boyfriend.

    Here's the pic:

Can people who know take a look and let me know what you think and what next steps should be? It is a little crushed and not sure if i caused the split down the middle, but i think so... Should we be safe and get an inspection?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    Looks like a spider beetle.
Antennae are wrong for a BB so it is 100% not one.

Compliments on quality of the photo. It's not real sharp focus but that doesn't matter because the image is so large. What camera and settings did you use.
