Like 3" from the bottom where the pleat meets the edge. I reinforce with some tape and swap bags periodically. Whether they go through heavy use or not, I periodically will run into a full bag of clean clothes that I have to re-wash and dry, just because I feel a small breeze of air when I press gently on the bag to make sure it's intact. This is ridiculous! As if our lives aren't complicated and full enough! I'm in the process of contacting Ziploc about this. </p> <p>Does anyone have any suggestions for storage that keeps bed bugs out for these things? I wish beyond anything that rubbermaids were air tight, because I'd gladly spend more on them to keep my clothes safe.</p> <p>What's even worse about all of this is we had a dog come in (from a reputable company) and give us the all clear!
