David Cain, what happened......gone AWOL......ramblin' east of eden??? I doubt there are any bugs inside my canvases. They were never near the bed. Not even in the same room. But my daughter would like to hang them in her new apartment. She went AWOL soon after I bagged bug #1. She left with the clothes on her back and made a clean move (God is good) and reely would not want to be the cause of messin' with her success. I've fared pretty well I'd say. Not seen a bug in 2 months post treatment.

i guess i'll just do some random tests. Like put some oils on a piece of canvas (unstretched) let it dry and stick it in the PackTite for 4 hrs. And do the same thing with all the other paint and drawing mediums applying these materials to the same surfaces as the work that I feel may need PactTiteing.

What a drag............! Just posted on a thread a scared bedbugger started about NORMALCY post bbs.

I'm thinking of starting a topic asking for advice re: How do I get off the computer and put my apartment back in order. Normalcy is always one PactTite away.......

Mr David Cain, Hello! Never Thought those [expletive deleted] suckers would give this American Gurl the time of her life! Damn if any self-esteem issues I ever had are not gone. I'm hangin' out (online anyway) with the cream of the World-Wide-Bed-Bug-Elite....mercy me, I'm lovin' it.

jeez louise, what the hell happened? Just touching up the formation and the result is tripled. Is this John 6:1-15, The Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes?

Hi,

If you can wait a few days I have a few old test canvas that I don't mind running through the closet.

It turned out I make a better bedbug specialist than an oils painter.

David Cain
Bed Bugs Limited

PS I think Mr James is more into a different type of framing at present!

Thanx djames. Was thinking of doing that. As a painter you always want to get it right the first time
but like everything else that's not always the case. I usually make quick work of getting rid of stuff that does't reach the mark. But if a less than satisfying work has SOME redeeming qualities it may live to find itself in an archival box under my bed. At least that's the way it used to be.......know all that stuff is in contractor bags waiting for a heads-up folks time to hit the Pact Tite-by djames (claping and whistling)

Warms my heart--the comment you closed with. I'm glad you get it. Will post the results of my test runs for whoever else my be wondering......

Thanx again Mr. D. James

I have heard of people doing paintings with no issues but I don't know the details of paint and canvas type. Would it be possible to put in a test strip of painted canvas, painted with the same oil? I would hate for artwork to be damaged/faded/etc.

Can oil paintings that (obviously)will fit in a PackTite be heated without damage to the painting.
I ask because I have several paintings done with oils on linen that is attached to canvas stretchers and stapled. Having removed the staples and the lengths of canvas that hold together the line-up of boards that support the mattresses on the bunk-beds, it occurred to me that 2 paintings that my daughter would like to take to her new apartment could benefit from some time in the PackTite [u]if and only if it won't damage the painting.[u]

I also have work in gouache/watercolor/ and- pencil/charcoal/stabilo (the stabilo is a pencil with a bit more wax than a good quality colored pencil.

It's a painter/concerned mother thing.

I realize that this may be an obscure question on a complicated forum, however, if anyone has an answer I will thank you in advance. I'm especially hoping that djames or David cain might have some
definate knowledge on this topic.

I don't expect that I'm the only painter on the forum...all artists welcome
