No, they aren't... I'm actually breeding more of 60 different species of cockroaches (pest species included) and no one has similar droppings.

Is it possible that these are cockroach droppings? I have never seen a cockroach in my room, but I'm running out of ideas...

They definitely look like insect droppings of some kind. My ceiliing is kind of a plaster-like substance, but the house is wood frame, so I'm sure the walls and ceiling are essentially wood. However, I don't think they are falling down from above because they may appear in-between sheets, for example, in-between the fitted sheet and top sheet.

Mmmm... they're not BB related... maybe they're droppings of another kind of insect...
Do you have a wooden ceiling?

It is definitely NOT being tracked in. I have put totally clean sheets on the bed and slept somewhere else for the night. In the morning, no one has been there, but the black things appear on the sheets.

The blog was actually created by someone else. I found it via another post on this site. They have the exact same problem as me...it doesn't fit the description of bedbugs:

-Appear on top of sheets, not in mattress or seams.
-Hard and easily brushed off. Look and feel very much like poppy seeds.
-Many, maybe 100, appear overnight where there were none before.

On your blog, you write this stuff was under one person on the bed. Was that person sitting directly on the floor or walking barefoot? Could they have tracked that stuff into bed from somewhere else?

I am having a problem that doesn't fit the classic symptoms of bedbugs:

-NUMEROUS HARD BLACK poppyseed-like things appear on clean sheets every night. These are NOT stains, they are easily brushed or vaccuumed off sheets, leaving no mark.

-There are no traces of bedbugs in the mattress.

-I have no bites on my body nor bloodstains on sheets.

My room has been treated for bedbugs and my mattress/boxspring have Aller-zip encasements.

I have found several other posts by people with this problem, but have not seen the diagnosis anywhere. For example, my exact situation is shown here:

http://creepybedbug.blogspot.com/

Does anyone know what this is?? Thanks!
