My hubby is same way. Swells up to mosquitos, but will have bloodstained pillow from bedbugs but no bite reaction whatsoever.

Glad I stumbled across this thread, as I had the same question. I react very strongly to mosquitos and have very sensitive/itchy skin in general, but appear to have no reaction to bb bites (and I without a doubt had them and just recently treated). It's very odd as like I said my skin reacts to everything. I have been getting eczema on the inside of my arms and legs recently, but I always have that - if it's too hot, or too col, or if I used scented detergent, etc....maddening when it comes to knowing if you have bb bites or not.

Once treatment is through I'll use a passive monitor to figure out if they're good and gone. I never would have known I had them if I hadn't found a live one.

Thanks! She nabbed them from Victoria's Secret. (She's trying to attract a hot bb so the two of them can get hitched, move into a big, fancy house, and raise a family:) )

Mosquitoes start biting me as early as 3 p.m., and the itching is intense and unbearable. My back yard gets soaked with insecticide, I burn coils, I spray myself down with repellent, and they just can't get enough of torturing me.

Bbs? I could be covered with bites right now and not see or feel a thing. Sneaky bastards.

I'm sensible to mosquitoes too, and not to BBs.
Working with BBs almost every day, I'm always under the risk to take them at home with me.
So, it happens that I'm in bed, with light switched off, and then I have the sensation of a little bite on my arm or leg.... but it starts to itch after a few minutes and I understand it's a mosquito...

Forgot to write: My reaction to bed bug bites was more intense when I first began feeding them (around 10 years ago) but now the reaction is very much reduced.

I'll post in both places. I react with a welt and itchiness when bitten by mosquitoes. Bite area remains hardened and itches, but it is not unbearable. Bed bug bites create a small bump, they disappear and within a few hours a small red mark is visible where the bed bugs bit. Not itchy.

vchan,

I am. I didn't know I had bb until the signs were right there. Fecal stains, blood stains etc. Aside from a weird case of really itchy feet some mornings, I had nothing on my body that I could see that made me wonder. I got bitten this summer by mosquitos and it's been the most terrible reaction I've ever had to them. I was so itchy when I went to bed some nights that I couldn't even get to sleep. I was clueless to having bb though. That's a scary thought when it comes to monitoring for a reinfestation!!

I know there are many different reactions to BB bites, but most of the time, if someone is sensitive to mosquito bites (e.g. itchy reaction) then most likely they would be sensitive to BB bites too?

One of the reasons I have been worried about BBs is because I started getting these non-itchy, non-puss small pink bumps (no visible middle dot) around my neck area...but I am usually very sensitive to bug bites (huge welts, itchy).

Any feedback would be appreciated!
