Have you taken apart your bed? Check the bed frame carefully, headboard too....take your time. Look for evidence along the seams of the mattress and between the mattress and box springs. Lift the box sp. up and rip off the fabric covering the underneath part. Use a STRONG flashlight, you need to have eagle eyes. Get someone to help you, it's a little traumatic to do alone.

If you find anything don't just vacuum it away...capture dead or alive, or castings (small bug-shaped shells) either on sticky clear tape or my preference, in a heavy freezer-type zip-lock. Check under furniture close to the bed, also if you have any clutter - books, magazines, look there. Look along the base molding and edges of carpet.

Finally read the FAQs. Good luck to you.

I'm pretty sure I have bed bugs now. I woke up one morning to pee and realised i got a slightly itchy bump on my leg few feets away, i saw two dark spots on the floor and upon closer inspection its wet. I used a tissue to wipe it and the colour is rusty brown. I know its bed bug fecal right away. I sat on the sofa for like 2 to 3 hours and got a bump on the back waist. I showed it to my mum, she said it looks like an insect bite. I told her about the dark spots in my room but she said she only believes that the house has bed bugs if she sees one herself! My brother has been sitting on the sofa and got no bite. I called the pest buster and showed him the tissue wiped with the stain, he didnt believe me coz he said the fecal is suppose to be dark. He came 2 months back and saw no signs and told me that if there's really bed bugs there would have been plenty by now. I told him that's because i've been using anti bed bugs chemical spray myself and it might be keeping them to a minimum.

The company I'm getting is a reputable one, the charges for bed bugs treatment is really expensive too. He was reluctant to treat my house as he claims that he would be cheating my money when he can find no evidence! He suggested a cheaper deal ie to use ozone first. This will irritate the bugs and get them out of their hiding place and kill the germs in my room. He will treat if he sees bed bugs.

What should I do?? i am pretty sure the 2 spots are bed bugs fecal matters and the PCO is reluctant to treat my house. Should I just stop the chemical spray and let the bugs infestation grew so that everybody will believe me?!?! Or do what the PCO said, use ozone to irritate the bugs and to treat if they found any. i'm just so crazy that everybody says I'm paranoid over this!
