15 minutes of fame come and gone »

We were part of a radio station’s answer to a trivia question, and we had no idea!
It was 1015 The Point in Tampa, Florida’s Nearly Impossible Question, and we have no idea when, but suspect it was after Tampa’s News 10 mentioned us last April.
Anyway, this is old news. Eight months later, bed […]

experiencing a few technical difficulties »

A recent necessary software upgrade made the foreign character set as well as some characters in old posts go all funny. (Funny = bad, here.)
In my latest attempt to fix it, we lost some of the links and content buttons. (It fixed the character sets, but ate so much data from recent posts, […]

Huffington Post on bed bugs (part II); bedbugger.com and google »

Nicholas Brown continued his bed bug diary on the Huffington Post last week, sharing a saga which is remarkably similar to that of many of our readers.
Brown describes his interaction with his management company (which went better than expected). They did not even want to see a sample bed bug, as he expected they […]

Too busy to remember to buy a cake? »

Hey Bedbuggers,
Sometimes the day to day running of the blog and forums, on top of other responsibilities, means the details take a backseat. So last Tuesday was actually the one-year anniversary of the blog. And though all day long I had a strange feeling, like I had forgotten someone’s birthday (and I could […]

new Useful Stuff page »

This link new Useful Stuff page now links to a number of products people mention at bedbugger.com. There are links to purchasing mattress covers, ziploc XL bags, food grade DE, and so on. This was recommended by a reader, and I hope it helps you.

Restructuring the Bedbugger FAQs about bed bugs »

Good news.
If you’ve looked at the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) page recently, you probably had to strain your eyes to find what you were looking for. It was a bit of a mess. I am proud to say we now have way too many FAQs for one page, and have for some time. […]

Blog okay, but forums down: Bedbuggers reverting temporarily to “old timey” format »

Don’t be alarmed, but in a planned upgrade to the latest bbpress software, the forums went down.
I realize this is difficult for those of you with the most need of Bedbugger right now, so don’t panic. In the olden days (before the end of March of this year, to be exact), Bedbuggers used to […]

meta / espanol: technical difficulties, please stand by (can someone, er, translate that?) »

A nuestros lectores hispanohablantes: debido a la instalacion de una version avanzada del programa, los caracteres en otros idiomas no son legibles. Estamos trabajando en resolver el problema.

A software update made the Spanish character set go haywire, so I have temporarily removed the Spanish page (and tab above). The posts are still there […]

Greetings »

Hey everyone,
Well, I am now totally “back” as opposed to semi-back (I have been reading everything and posting enough that you may have forgotten I was supposed to be “away”).
Anyway, I wanted to officially thank Jess and S– for keeping the blog and forums going, administratively, while I was gone.
This is the official […]

Jess is your current cruise director »

Hey All,
I am going to be mega-busy the next two weeks running hither and thither. I’ve appointed Bedbugger Jess, the author of the famous Craigslist post, “An Open Letter to my Bed Bugs,” as your interim host. If you have a concern or question, you can email her at
jess at bedbugger.com (cool, […]
