The amazing new Bedbugger banner, the moon favicon, and the illustration in this post are all the work of talented Bedbugger NotSoSnug (a.k.a. the Cimex Hunter), who generously donated his time and talents to the site.

I must point out that NotSoSnug and I both know bed bugs don’t look quite like the guys in this banner. For starters, their antennae are at more of a moustache level, rather than coming out of the tops of their heads. (Thanks Lou, for quite rightly trying to set us straight.)

We subjected some early mockups to focus groups of bed bug sufferers. The changes to the antennae, proboscis, body, and many more minor changes were made so that readers would not be too distressed by the artwork on the site., especially while going through an active infestation. We hope the end result is bedbuggy, yet bearable.

NotSoSnug allowed me to post this additional illustration of his King Bed Bug, so you could see how realistically scary his bed bug cartoons could be.

NotSoSnug was also awesome in forging a connection between the new site artwork and the site’s original banner, which you can see here.
