A new Bedbugger contest!

We’re pleased to be able to offer you a chance at one of two signed copies of Bedbugs, courtesy of the author Ben H. Winters.

(Be sure and read the review of Bedbugs by CiLecto and myself. Hint: we really liked it!)

We like to keep things simple here, so here’s how it works:

To enter, leave a single comment in this thread. The first line in the post should be a number. The first person will write a “1”, the second person to post will write a “2” and so on, chronologically.

Comments not starting with a number on the first line will not count as entries. Comments starting with random numbers (not following in chronological order) will be deleted and will not count as entries.

Please do not enter the contest more than once, or use multiple accounts to enter.

After the number, you may hit the “return” key and write any other message you like (but please begin on a new line in the post, so others can easily see your number).

(Please keep discussion limited to the contest and any questions you may have. If you want to discuss the book generally, please leave a comment on the book review. If you want to discuss other topics, please do so in the Bedbugger forums.)

You do not need to register for the site and login in order to leave a comment on this thread.

The contest is open until Saturday, September 24th at 5 pm EST.

I (site owner, nobugsonme) will select the winner using the random number generator at, to avoid bias, and then email the winner at the email provided in the comment used to enter the contest.

If you win, you will have 72 hours to respond to my email, providing the information requested. If you don’t respond, the prize will go to someone else.

The fine print: You must be a resident of the US and 18 or above to enter. Void where prohibited. Winners are responsible for any taxes resulting from their receiving the prize. The prize sponsor is solely responsible for its delivery.

Disclaimer: we’re doing this for fun and we reserve the right to change anything if we have to – but be assured we really do want to give away this prize!

Many thanks to author Ben H. Winters for donating the prize!

Good luck to everyone!

Thanks, ihatebugs1,

It was hard not to give away the clever details of the plot, but we did not want to spoil it.

The more bed bugs we find, the more successful our day is.

I train applicators in upstate New York. I spend a special part of this training for Category 7A (Structural and Rodents) on the inspection and detection of Bedbugs. I then spend time on some practical treatment for Bedbugs and emphasize that no single treatment will completely eliminate all Bedbugs. It takes a lot of patience on the part of the applicator and the customer to get rid of bedbugs and that they may return in a number of ways to the home.

Robin Byrd? As in “Lie back, get comfortable.”? Are you kidding?

16 ( wish the number bites I have was that low !! )
Still hosting for a London hospitality sector building, 5 weeks in 4 rooms down and 1 to go. Missing my own bug free bed. It’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it.

The bugs are desperately seeking Susan? Jeez Louise, that’s my name. But my daughter does see the bugs; after I bag-a-bug into a ziplock! Glad to hear the book has some dark humor. An edgy sense of humors’ bout the only thing that’ll get you through the morning after…..

33 Knock Out September 23, 2011 at 1:23 am

Oh, five o’clock in the morning
I looked up on the wall —
The roaches and the bedbugs
Were having a game of ball

Oh, the score was six to nothing
The roaches were ahead —
The bedbugs hit a home run
And knocked me out of bed
