You should not have a problem as long as you or your partner don't already have bed bugs. The campsite should be bed bug free....Of course you will run into tons of bugs though :)

Hey Bedbuggers,

I'm new here, and somewhat paranoid that I'm going to pick up bedbugs somewhere, so I've unofficially sworn off hotels. I also can't stop thinking of all the places they could be and all the people I know who might have them.

I have a question for you seasoned vets though. I'm planning a cross country camping-only trip next summer. We're going to be in our tent. Never in a hotel, cabin or hostel. Bedbugs shouldn't bother us, right? I mean, even from the "early times" they've lived in enclosed places like caves. So an open-air campsite should be bed bug free, no?

Thanks,
RSW

AT least its good that the state has to provide clean shelter for these people. Controlling the bugs are going to be a nightmare. The state should employ a K-9 bed bugs inspection dog.
