This is a promising event; if you’re in a condo or coop in NYC, you might encourage your management, coop board members, or similar, to attend.

OH RATS! – EXPERTS DEAL WITH PEST AND VERMIN INFESTATIONS
Thursday, January 15, 2009
7 PM
Location to be announced

Rats are seen far too often on the streets and in the parks of our City. They roam quite boldly at night, sampling the fare in plastic garbage bags that provide little resistance to their incursions. Water bugs, roaches, weevils and now bedbugs join to challenge New Yorkers’ quiet enjoyment of our homes. Cooperatives and condominiums have charged staff and management with the challenging task of keeping their buildings safe from these pests. Property manager Ellen Kornfeld will lead a session where experts will provide sound advice on ways to protect your building. Representatives of CNYC member cooperatives and condominiums attend this session at no cost, but advanced registration is required. Non-members are very welcome at a fee of $50, payable in advance. Reserve your place by calling CNYC at (212) 496-7400 or register by e-mail to workshops@cnyc.coop. To pay at the door, preregister and add $15.
