Yes– thermal remediation is an option. It really depends on your location, whether there are providers nearby doing this.

It will probably cost more than spray treatments — but not necessarily, since some can go on and on. Keep in mind, if your neighbors have bed bugs, there is no residual effect.

I’m wondering if thermal remediation is available to regular people, and if anyone knows how much it costs. I really don’t want to move and destroy all my furniture.

Good to hear that searching every unit is the protocol there.

I would not be at all surprised if there were more infested units than the article reported.

Since the bed bug infestations have become worse in public housing in Halifax, it has become their procedure to search every unit in each building.

However, I think the number of units infested is actually higher than what is quoted in this article.
