Barton,

There are lots of folks with current infestations in the Bedbugger forums: http://bedbugger.com/forum/

I'd try your question there.

Another article on bed bugs in the Stamford Advocate, on bed bugs in the elderly housing complex Stamford Manor.

The City says it has helped seniors / disabled persons who cannot deal with infestations on their own:

Mayor Dannel Malloy said the city does what it can to help seniors or the disabled deal with an infestation.

"We have gone over to places when a person says, 'I'm elderly or not mobile,' and found ways to assist them," Malloy said.

Malloy said the city is doing all it can to address the problem of bed bugs in the city, including responding to bed bug complaints through the health department and providing informational pamphlets about the insects in both English and Spanish. But attempting to go beyond that role may be beyond the city's ability or scope of power, Malloy said.
