YouTube video documents a serious bed bug infestation

in bed bug bites, bed bug treatment, bed bugs

YouTuber Tiffany8884 provides footage of multiple cups containing bed bugs she trapped in her bedroom. The final cup shown in the video contains sixteen bed bugs. None appear to be in the first few stages of development, so, given that there must be many more bed bugs at earlier stages of development, the mind boggles at just how many bed bugs this home actually contains.

The filmmaker is perplexed as to why the bed bugs are harboring on (and pooping on) her boyfriend’s side of the bed, but are only biting her. Unfortunately, she’s probably wrong: many people are bitten and do not react to bites. I suspect the most handy person to where the bed bugs sleep would also be bitten. He may simply not be allergic to bed bug bites.

What’s worse, the comments note that Tiffany bought a new bed a few weeks ago and continues to see bed bugs and get bitten. I really hope she is getting aggressive bed bug treatment from a professional — and if she lives in an apartment, or a home that shares any floors, ceilings, or walls, I hope the neighbors are too.

I was suprised to see this so I had to comment as far as the bed bugs are concerned I did purchase a new bed but before I did I sprayed which i did mention in my video…. from that point on maybe in the first month I got bit 4 or 5 times which to me was nothing being that on a nightly basis I was being bit anywhere from 20 to 40 times after about a month I never saw another bed bug…. I moved from that apt about 2 months ago and found where the nest was there were about 60 dead bedbugs underneath my wallpaper… So my bedbug problem was not as big as most and im glad it was pretty much isolated because I had no problems with them anywhere else in my apt.

Hi Tiffany,

As you discovered, getting a new bed did not eliminate the bed bugs.

I am glad you are not seeing bed bugs, but you should remain alert. It is easy to move a bed bug or a few, and you might not notice them springing back for some time.
