Most local laws I have seen simply specify whether landlord or tenants are liable for removal of pests in the home and under which circumstances. It may be possible to go to court and be reimbursed for these things. You'd have to seek legal assistance with that one. We have a FAQ on that. It is also true that in very few cases, some landlords have paid for them upfront or on request. I sense this is extremely rare, almost unheard of.
