Apparently bed bugs are still a cute idea for many

The Grand Island, Nebraska Independent reports that the local library’s Children’s Summer Reading Program will feature a story called “Bed Bugs” Tuesday evening:
“Bed Bugs,” at 6:30 p.m. is a family story time where kids can come dressed in their pajamas.
In their pajamas!
Perhaps hot on the heels of the previous day’s book selection, “Caring for Your Pet Bug,” the library may be sending the wrong message to young people.
It’s hard to believe people still think bed bugs are fun, and that this show has not been run off the air by angry mobs.
I guess bed bugs just aren’t big enough yet.

Yeah it’s funny because you wouldn’t see a kids TV show titled “Tick World” or “Flesh-eating Necrosis Play Time”.

Very ironic to see this up…I too was horrified when at the end of the school year, materials came home from the local library system and the reading theme for the summer was bugs! I was actually “bugged” that omitted from the list was bedbugs since I would think the library would be a great place to educate people on bedbugs. Oh well. I think I’ll mention it to the librarians next time I’m there.
