I have worked for pest control companies that have entomologists to give presentations on how to find bed bugs, but as the other comment was made
they have rooms to clean and only a certain amount of time to do it in. It is also the same
for PCO’s they have only so much time to do inspections and can’t put the time in
that is needed to make a good inspection they have routes to run and there is a
time frame on this also. Most of the time the bed bugs are not found until several
instars grow and are breeding and laying eggs. And have fed then they become obviouse to the cleaning crew or the PCO. There are alot of good tech’s out there
that are very good at thier craft in treating bed bugs I think the problem with the
bed bugs are the job is hurried thru and not done thouroughly the follow up is not inspected properly. The chemicals also have to be eco sensitive which makes treatment challenging but I believe pest control companies are trying thier best to
    solve the problem.
