Ellen’s theory as to how bed bugs came back

in Tipping Point, bed bugs, bedbugs, celebrities

We know the theories as to why bed bugs came back (and by these, I mean: the end-of-DDT, increase in international travel, no-more-routine-baseboard-spraying), but you may enjoy hearing Ellen DeGeneres’s theory about the logistics of how bed bugs came back.

I’ll count it as a “tipping point” that bed bugs are now the fodder of talk show opening monologues. I am still waiting for Maya Rudolph to appear in a smart Saturday Night Live sketch about them, but I suppose she is still healing. I do understand.

Thanks to the clever reader who tipped me off to this!

I don’t know. The video was posted on youtube on 6/10, but who knows when it aired. There may have been an LA-area broadcast. Or maybe Brian Williams finally aired his bed bug segment and we all missed it? ;-)

A lot of people still do not know about bbs and what this is causing people, even with media exposure. I just phoned my son’s school which is 100 miles away and they had NO CLUE about bbs when I told them that I had them and that I did not want my son on home visits until this was resolved.

Hi Anonymous,
That’s why more media coverage is SO important. The more, and the more accurate, the better!
