So who is the pco that treated for every 10 days for 6 months? It's so very hard to get pcos to come back even 3x. This pco deserves praise for trying. Maybe someone can share the name of this pco?

This article demonstrates why your surroundings are just as important as your actions -- and why the smart money is on detached houses. In fact, this article is a very good advertisement for new homes and a very bad advertisement for New York City housing.

HI Anonymous,

I haven't met anyone--rich or poor--who felt they could afford to throw all their possessions away. It's a desperate act when all else fails.

If you read the article, or my post above, you'll see a PCO professionally treated her home every ten days for 6 months. I am not sure what else you're suggesting she should have done in terms of home pest control.

wow, how long did she have them if she had so many so that they lived in her electronics? I guess she could afford to throw many things away, but I think for most visitors throwing so much away is not an option. Since she chose to get rid of things and not do some home thorough home pest control, I dont know if it was the best thing to do.

Wow. I'm still shook up by my bedbug experience ... I find myself constantly wondering if I will get them once more ... but compared to this story you quote from, I actually had it easy. I fear for the people who moved into my former building, however; given the landlady's poor investigation and extermination tactics, I wonder if others had to deal with infestations and if it went out of control.

This article is VERY disturbing. I can relate to Holland's expended costs both financially and emotionally. The scary part is, after going through all of that, how do we protect ourselves against another infestation and ditching our "things" once more?
