bedbugregistry.com is working now: report your bed bug infestations!

in bed bugs, bedbugs

A few weeks back, we mentioned the Bed Bug Registry. Some people said it wasn’t working, but it is fixed now. (Would you believe it had a “bug”?)

Please go to bedbugregistry.com, the Bed Bug Registry, and report the address of any known infestations (whether that’s your apt., a hotel you got them from, or another definite infestation). Maciej, the creator, is improving the site all the time, and it covers a lot of cities already.

You can even indicate when the infestation occurred, so the data will be meaningful down the line. If everyone does this, those of us looking for apartments or hotels will be able to screen them. In the meantime, each recorded entry shows the world (including politicians who want to ignore this problem) how common bed bugs are becoming. That’s the first step to getting people to do something to stop it on a larger scale.
